Mothballing
In these times of financial stringency, it may be necessary to suspend production either for a short or long term in a pharmaceutical, chemical or industrial plant. Mothballing allows a manufacturing line, process or plant to be closed safely, but remaining intact and ready for operation.
The benefit to you is that your assets remain in peak condition during its shut down, and manufacturing can be done on a demand basis but without the need to be running continuously.
This minimises waste and equipment deterioration and protects profits. It also allows the asset to be marketed and minimises expenditure.
