Our People

G&A's founder John Yuill, is well renowned globally in the field of decontamination of pharmaceutical and manufacturing plants. He is highly respected in the industry for his straight talking, innovative processes and quality focussed approach.

John is also responsible for training many of the industry's leading project managers and engineers – you may well be one of them!

His background in engineering began at ICI maintaining the seven square miles of chemical complex in Billingham. Working for Mobil in Saudi-Arabia in the mid-eighties, he was responsible for maintaining the largest Ethylene complex in the world at that time.

Throughout the next decade John Yuill worked for a variety of companies, developing world class skills in the decommissioning of nuclear, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and chemical plants. In 1999 John handled £1m of decontamination contracts. Working as a consultant in special projects he covered contaminated land issues, COSHH and risk assessments, asbestos surveying and management in addition to many other environmental projects.

In 2000 John founded G & A Environmental Services Ltd, to provide a uniquely bespoke service to clients in industry, manufacturing and healthcare across the globe.

John Yuill is a member of The Institute of Environmental Engineers.

All of our highly trained engineers share his passion for quality and excellence, and build on John Yuill’s experience in the industry with their own qualifications and expertise.


Our Asbestos Surveyors:

Our highly experienced team operate in all areas of the UK providing a first class asbestos survey, monitoring, management and training service. All of our surveyors are qualified to P402 level as a minimum, awarded by BOHS (British Occupational Hygiene Society). We work to MDHS100 principles in all of our work.

Our aim is to attain the highest standards in everything we do for you.

Quality and safety are paramount to us at G&A Environmental. We are working towards ISO 9001 and we are committed to the Health and Safety Policies and Environmental Charter ISO 140001.
